Mumbai Indians News » Mumbai Indians’ below par performance

Rajasthan Royals recorded their third consecutive victory at home this season with a convincing 87 runs against Mumbai Indians. The home team gave a dominant performance all throughout the match, once their opener Ajinkya Rahane anchored the innings to 179. Later, Rajasthan bowlers put in a team effort to seal the deal. For Mumbai Indians, nothing seemed to click yesterday. Put to field first, Mumbai Indians used as many as six bowlers in the first seven overs, but neither of the top line bowling unit could break the openers stand nor could restrict the flying run rate of 8.71. While chasing, the ‘Pondulkar’ combination once again failed and were back in dressing room as early as in 4th over. Wickets kept falling as Rajasthan wrapped up the match with visitors just managed to reach half mark of run chase.
